Food and Drink of Inner Mongolia
Introduction

In June & July 2013, ChinaVine collected information on Inner Mongolian ways of life. Included in this research trip was an abundance of time with Inner Mongolia staples such as milk tea, cheese, yogurt, and boiled lamb. The photos in this section exhibit all of the above and also examples of traditional toasting upon welcoming new friends to a new location. The first photo is a woman stirring a pot of boiled lamb on a homestead in the grasslands. The second photo shows a group of Mongolian people sharing milk tea and cheese in front of a simple yurt during a time of communal festivities. The third, fourth, and fifth photos show parts of the cheese making process, as well as the final products. The last batch of photos includes examples of toasting with traditional drinks when arriving in a new location of significance.
